Short Story Acceptance

Late-breaking news: I'm delighted to report that my short story, "Reduction in Force," has been accepted for publication in Thin Ice, this year's anthology of crime fiction by New England writers, published by Level Best Books.

"Reduction in Force" tells a timely tale of conflict and revenge when a software company lays off employees.

The anthology will be out by early November.

  2. Edith -
Congrats on the short story in Level Best. I can't wait to read it. Glad the challenge is working for you. Just to let you know, I'm writing this AFTER I did my pages!!!

  3. Hi, Edie

I want you to get going on those unsolved murders in Ipswich. With Inspector Morse retired from Oxford, there should be plenty of crime spreading from England to New England and even beyond,

  4. Congratulations, Edith, on the short story acceptance, and best of luck with the new blog.

I'll see you over at the Writer's Challenge, and here.

  5. Thanks everybody! I'm thrilled with the news. I had a story in the first anthology (see the Publications tab) and have been rejected every year since. It's great timing for me, too, as I prepare to query my book with agents. One more fiction-writing credential for the resume.
